These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at free-pallets.com (the "Service") operated by Free Pallets ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or any business you represent.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Listings

If you post a pallet location, you represent that:

• The information is accurate and not misleading
• You own or have permission to give away the pallets and to publish the address and any images
• The pallets are genuinely available for free pickup as described
• You will keep the listing reasonably current and remove or update it when conditions change

We may review, edit, decline, or remove any listing at our discretion.

4. Pickup Is at Your Own Risk

The Service is a directory only. We do not own, inspect, transport, or guarantee any pallet, location, or person listed on the Service.

If you go to a listed location to pick up pallets, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety, for following the pickup instructions on the listing, for complying with property rules, and for safely loading and transporting whatever you pick up. You are also responsible for any taxes, fees, or legal obligations associated with what you take.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is false, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent
• Post content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or hateful
• Use the Service to advertise unrelated goods or services, or to solicit users for purposes other than free pallet pickup
• Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data from the Service except as expressly permitted
• Interfere with the operation of the Service, including by transmitting malware or attempting to gain unauthorized access
• Impersonate any person or business
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (listings, images, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. You can revoke this license by deleting the content, except to the extent we have already used it (for example, in cached pages or backups).

7. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — software, design, text, and branding — is our property or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS ARE ACCURATE, THAT PALLETS WILL BE AVAILABLE WHEN YOU ARRIVE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR LOSS RELATED TO PALLET PICKUP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us, our officers, employees, and contractors harmless from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
